Most rough, dull, or dry feet are caused by a small number of avoidable mistakes. Fix these and you'll see a difference in two weeks.
- Over-filing. Removing too much skin signals your body to grow it back thicker. Less, more often.
- Cutting cuticles. Cuticles are a barrier. Push back gently, never cut.
- Hot showers. Strip natural oils. Finish with a cool rinse and moisturise within 60 seconds.
- Walking barefoot on hard floors. Triggers callus formation. House slippers fix it.
- Tight or unsupportive shoes. Cause pressure points and dead skin. Replace before your feet do.
- Synthetic socks. Trap sweat, encourage fungus. Cotton or merino only.
- Skipping sunscreen. Tops of feet age fast in summer. SPF 30 daily.
- Ignoring nail polish breaks. A small chip in a top coat lets water in and lifts the colour. Refresh weekly.
- Filing nails in two directions. Causes splitting. One direction only, always.
- No nightly moisturiser. The single biggest predictor of foot quality.
