You can make a salon-grade foot scrub for under $2. Four recipes worth the kitchen mess.
1. Brown sugar + olive oil + honey
2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp honey. Classic. Gentle exfoliation, deep hydration.
2. Coffee grounds + coconut oil
3 tbsp used coffee grounds, 2 tbsp melted coconut oil. Caffeine improves circulation, coconut oil locks in moisture.
3. Sea salt + lemon + peppermint oil
2 tbsp coarse sea salt, juice of half a lemon, 3 drops peppermint essential oil. Cooling, brightening, slightly antibacterial.
4. Oatmeal + honey + Greek yoghurt
2 tbsp ground oatmeal, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp yoghurt. Gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Use it right
Soak feet first, scrub for 3 minutes per foot, rinse, moisturise immediately. Once a week max — over-exfoliation is the #1 mistake.
